Black & White

I'm very struggle on part 1 of Design Project -- Research & Reference.
I didn't choose any specific artist as my reference.

I'm actually plan to do photograph... but, I have rarely basic knowledge about photography..
But I just know which photograph I like.
So, do few research on the types of photography.
I like those classic and vintage feel of photography.

Garry Winogrand (1928 - 1984)

He was a photojournalist, and he was known for his portrayal of American life in the early 1960s. Many of his photographs depict the social issues of his time and in the role of in shaping attitudes.

El Morocco, 1955 (Couple Dancing: Woman Laughing)

El Morocco was hottest nightclub in New York during 1950s.
From a website, i found a description of this photograph, said that Garry Winogrand focusing on his subjects' telling responses by revealing the ferocious animal spirit of the woman (hands and face).

  • Color - Grey Scale
  • Expression

Besides that, I want to share another portrait of Mary Ellen Mark.

I like this photo, cause it's really fully utilize the advantage of B&W photography. It's not only captured the feeling, but it's playing with the shadow, and highlight the couple.

Art is intangible, something can't be transmitted by words.

This is my FIRST ever blog in my life.
I do hope this is the only blog for me.
Cause I dont like writing...
 But maybe sharing sometime...: )

I don't like to write cause...
not a doubt... not good in writing.

I'm a person who are more rely or...
more believe in non-verbal communication.
Actually communication just like ART~

An ART doesn't tell you what is it.
It is subjective.
There is no exact answer.
You can say "She" is smiling or "She" is sad.
I like those abstract art...
It's depend on what you decode...

I'm glad that I was born with the perfect senses...
and observing at every corner that my vision could reach...
catching the elements of the world through my eyes.

That's what inspired me to wander around...
to explore further... I WISH~

Here, I'm going to share you an art piece by Philippe Ramette.
I took this when I was wandering at Avenue of Star (Hong Kong).
